If you need help with anything on FreeFolio, you’re in the right place. Whether you’re setting up your profile, updating your information, or just trying to understand how something works, this page is here to point you in the right direction.

FreeFolio is designed to be simple and easy to use, but there may still be times where you need a bit of guidance. That could be anything from profile visibility, account access, or how verification works, through to reporting an issue or asking a general question.

Getting Started

Getting set up on FreeFolio is straightforward.

First, create an account at https://freefolio.co.uk/register. Once you've signed up, you'll need to confirm your email address. After that, your profile will be reviewed and verified. You'll get an email once you've been approved.

When you're approved, log in and head to your settings to start building out your profile.

Profile Details

Start with the basics. Add your name, your location in the UK, a headline, and a short bio. This is what people see first, so it's worth keeping it clear and to the point.

You'll also need to select your main role (your primary discipline), along with any secondary roles. This helps show what you do and where your experience sits. Adding a profile photo is optional, but it does make your profile feel more personal and helps build trust.

Skills

Add tags for your skills, along with the tools and platforms you use regularly. You can also include any industries you've worked in. This helps people understand your experience quickly and makes your profile easier to find in search.

Availability

Set your availability so people know if you're open to work. You can also choose the type of work you're looking for (freelance, contract, etc.) and how you prefer to work—remote, hybrid, or on-site.

Contact

Add your public email address. This isn't shown on your profile, but it powers the contact form so people can get in touch with you. You can also add links and social profiles. These appear on your profile and help show credibility.

Account Settings

This is where you can update your email address or change your password if needed.

Work Examples

Add projects to give people a clear view of your work. You can choose a project type, which will tailor the fields based on what you’re adding, so everything stays relevant and easy to follow.

Include the key details—your role, what the project involved, and a short overview of the work. If there are results or outcomes, add those too. It helps give context and shows the impact of what you’ve done.

You can then add media, tags, and any useful links. If you’ve got stats or figures, include them. The more real and specific it is, the better it comes across.

Keep it simple, keep it honest, and focus on showing the kind of work you want to be hired for.

Analytics

Track things like profile views, link clicks, and overall engagement to get a feel for how people are interacting with your profile. It gives you a simple view of your reach and what’s getting attention.

Everything is shown in clear charts, and you can switch between weekly, monthly, or yearly views depending on what you want to look at.

It’s not overcomplicated—just enough data to help you understand what’s working, what isn’t, and where you might want to make improvements.

FAQ
